Market-leading low vibration pneumatic tools for professionals. Designed and manufactured in Sweden.

Insights for industrial professionals

Protecting operators without compromising performance In heavy industries, prolonged exposure to vibrating tools is a major health risk. Low-vibration pneumatic tools are not just a luxury, they are a necessity for sustainable operations. Our range is designed to minimize the risk of Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) while maintaining the high power and precision required for heavy-duty tasks.

Controlling the unseen force

Pneumatic tools inherently generate vibration due to the reciprocating motion of the internal piston. In standard tools, this force is transferred directly to the operator's hands. To counter this, we analyze the airflow and mechanical movement. By reducing the "kick" from the piston and stabilizing the tool body, we can significantly lower the m/s² values compared to conventional equipment.

IPT’s Technical Approach

We tackle vibration at the source using three key principles:

  • Auto-Balancing: Internal counterweights that neutralize the shaking motion during operation.
  • Damping Systems: Isolated handles and air-cushioned pistons that absorb shock before it reaches the operator.
  • Precision Engineering: Tighter tolerances in the cylinder reduce unnecessary rattle and side-movement.

Understanding A(8) and HAVS

It is crucial to keep track of the daily vibration exposure, known as the A(8) value. Even a powerful tool can be safe if used for short periods, but for continuous work, a low-vibration tool is the only way to stay within legal safety limits.
