Engraving pens use rapid vibrations to mark or engrave metal, plastic, or wood with precision. Perfect for identification, customization, and detailed surface work.

Pneumatic engraving pens and air scribes are essential precision tools for permanent marking, identification, and cleaning across various industries. From heavy industrial workshops marking steel structures to delicate restoration work or fossil preparation, these tools provide durable results on demanding materials like hardened steel, glass, ceramics, plastics, and wood.
Standard pneumatic engraving pens operate at extremely high frequencies to drive the stylus into the material. In conventional designs, this rapid reciprocating movement transfers significant vibration directly into the operator's fingertips and hand. Because these tools must be held tightly like a pen for precision work, the transmission of vibration is intense. Prolonged use of standard scribes frequently leads to numbness—often called "white fingers"—and significantly increases the risk of developing permanent Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) over time.
Minimizing vibration in engraving applications is crucial for two primary reasons: operator health and marking quality.
IPT addresses the vibration issue at the source with our patented "recoilless" air cushion technology. Unlike standard tools where the internal piston impacts the casing, our mechanism balances the forces internally using an air cushion. This design reduces vibration levels by up to 80% compared to conventional air scribes. The result is a tool that runs smoothly with low noise and low air consumption, providing the necessary power for deep marking without the harmful recoil.
